Even More Photos

This is my (non-theatre) people photography portfolio.

In 1984, I began teaching myself photography because I took a trip to Mexico as a student and wanted to remember it better. I continued because I wanted to document my theatre work; then I began to help out actor friends and students with headshots. After a dozen or so years I became comfortable calling myself a serious photographer. All this was old school by today’s standards: manual cameras, Tri-X Pan black-and-white film I loaded from a bulk roll, chemical processing and printing in makeshift darkrooms, for example. Around 2005 I embraced digital photography and processing; at the same time I began working with models on their portfolios and collaborating with them on creative projects. Samples of my theatre photography are elsewhere on this site; the images below are representative of my creative work as a visual artist over the past 30+ years.
